English Grammar and Sentence Construction for Adults (Ages 17 and Above)

If you struggle with English sentence structure or if you wonder how to write grammatically sound sentences with good English tenses, this course is for you. Age: catered to adult learners, 17 and above This course will give you a strong grasp of how sentences are constructed in the English Language. This class will break down the mechanics of English sentence structure and systematically teach the main English tenses in understandable, workable units. By the end of the class, you should be able to write with an awareness of your own grammatical errors and have the tools to be able to correct your own grammar mistakes.

This course will cover the following lessons:

Lesson 1: Parts of speech - Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives and Nouns
Lesson 2: Sentence structure rules and elements, complex sentence structures
Lesson 3: Present simple tense and present continuous tense
Lesson 4: Simple past tense and present perfect tense
Lesson 5: Past perfect and past simple tense
Lesson 6: Present perfect continuous and present perfect
Lesson 7: Present perfect and past perfect
Lesson 8: Review of all tenses

The learning experiences and the "AHA" moment are priceless.

The common advice I received from people to acquire English language is “to read and use it”. While there is truth in such statement, my foundation is still weak.In my past English classes and tuitions, I was taught the English rules and structure and they were good. Unfortunately, I was still unable to apply and was confused. My learning process was frustrating and it felt like I was beyond hope. I chanced upon one of Isaac Quek’s videos on English tenses and was able to apply immediately after his video. Subsequently, I attended his class via LEARNER NET and was astonished by my learning’s result. I acquired the knowledge right after Isaac Quek’s teaching and was able to identify my own errors. Understanding the rationale behind the English rules and their relationships is a new learning dimension for me. It was the “AHA” moment many spoke about in the LEARNER NET. Short Courses

Our shorts courses are designed to help children to pick up skills and knowledge within a short time frame. Teachers conducting short courses may meet 1 or more times each week, across 1 to 4 weeks.

Ongoing Courses

Ongoing courses are meant for children to study a certain subject under the same teacher. Ongoing classes meet weekly (up to 5 times a month) / alternating weeks (up to 3 times a month) depending on your teacher’s schedule.

Classes can be booked upfront in the following timeframes: Per lesson, Monthly (4-5 weeks), Termly (10 weeks), Yearly (up to 52 weeks)

Can I choose my own session dates?

As all of our courses are in a group class setting, teachers have already committed to a certain timeline for each group.

Each course has upcoming course dates displayed under the schedule tab, do check the course schedule before signing up. Some classes may have more than one schedule. In such cases, if you are not able to attend lessons in schedule 1, you can still attend classes in schedule 2.
