This module covers the fundamental of Python Programming. Students will learn how to write codes In Python. This will kick-start their journey to build a solid foundation in Python and eventually use it in problem solving. My lessons are designed to give kids a head start in Python programming appropriately paced for this age group. Instead of dragging out blocks used in Scratch, students will type out the syntax. To facilitate and maximise learning outcomes, programs are specially designed and concepts are presented in a fun and visual environment so students get hands-on on how their code works.
At the end of this module, students will be able to:
  1. Understand Python syntax
  2. Write their first program
  3. Do simple debugging
  4. Use variables to store, retrieve and calculate information
  5. Create list and loops
  6. Understand and write conditional if-statements
  7. Repeat instructions/steps using loops - while statements
  8. Using simple functions
This course forms the pre-requisite for module 2
