This module covers the fundamental coding concepts such as events, loops and sequencing. Students will be introduced to Scratch platform where they can create their own animations, program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects and let their creativity run wild within the domain of design and animations. My lessons are in bite-sized, making it simpler for younger kids to understand. To facilitate and maximise learning outcomes, programs are specially designed and concepts are presented in a fun and visual environment so students get hands-on on how their code works.
At the end of this module, students will be able to:
  1. Use the various programming blocks to create their first project.
  2. Create their own animations by snapping together graphical programming blocks to make characters move, jump, dance, and sing.
  3. Modify characters in the paint editor, add their own voices and sounds, even insert photos of themselves to make their characters come to life.
