Few businesses are founded without a business plan, and most still do not succeed. Even fewer New Year’s resolutions are made with a plan, and these are famous failures. In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of Action Planning, creating a plan to accomplish a goal, and then apply the technique to accomplish one or more four-week goals established at the beginning of the course. The course concludes with guidance to set a one-year goal and begin applying an action plan to accomplish it. This simple skill, when applied correctly, can help a person succeed in any endeavor, including schoolwork, physical training, and personal development.
Over five, ninety-minute meetings, students will:
  1. Learn to define a goal so that it is specific, measurable, and clearly articulated.
  2. Learn how to evaluate the assets and challenges that will help or hinder the process of achieving their goals.
  3. Learn how to identify the people, resources, and information required to reach their goals.
  4. Learn to create and execute Action Steps with deadlines to accomplish each in the process of completing their goals.
  5. Accomplish at least one four-week goal in the process of learning the steps above.
  6. Receive an introduction to more intensive techniques required for longer-term goals (six-months, one-year, three-years, etc.) in the final class: these include
  7. Building a Mission Statement, Reflecting on the Past, Understanding the Present, Envisioning Future Scenarios, Making Plans, and From Vision to Action.

Other exams he has taught are the TOEFL (US English certification), GMAT, and GRE.
