My name is Lim E E (this is my full name!) and I specialise in teaching English and Chinese to Primary and Secondary school students.

What’s your teaching experience?

I have been tutoring for the past 3 years, teaching children from 7 to 16 years old. I have experience teaching in a centre setting and one-on-one tuition, both offline and online.

How do you teach that helps students learn efficiently?

Fun and systematic are at the core of my teaching philosophy. I truly believe in the power of fun as it engages students and ignites the learning engine that is in the students. Being systematic means that I do not skip steps. Rather, I endeavour to build solid foundations through bite-sized learning so that students can progress without feeling overwhelmed.

Why do you enjoy teaching?

I love seeing the smiles on my students’ face whenever they understood something that they have previously been confused with. I also enjoy using my superpower of chunking down difficult concepts into smaller digestible bits so that students can absorb them easily and effectively.

What’s one fun fact about you?

I take fun very seriously (sounds like an oxymoron, isn’t it?). Jokes aside, I am a voracious reader who loves spending her time actively outdoors (spot the paradox?).
